LYON Black Oak Wood & Rattan Dining Chair

Introduce timeless craftsmanship and striking contrast to your dining space with the LYON Black Oak Wood & Rattan Dining Chair. Combining a bold black oak wood frame with a naturally woven rattan seat, this elegant dining chair brings together classic cross-back styling and understated rustic charm. Furthermore, its refined silhouette and contrasting materials make it a versatile choice for both contemporary and traditional interiors.

The LYON chair features the same distinctive cross-back design that gives this collection its enduring character. The gently curved top rail and intersecting back supports create a balanced, elegant shape, while the black finish adds depth and definition. As a result, the chair feels more tailored and architectural, making it ideal for interiors that favour a slightly stronger visual statement.

Its woven natural rattan seat introduces warmth and texture against the dark frame, softening the overall appearance and creating a beautifully balanced material contrast. In addition, the gently rounded seat frame and shaped lower supports enhance both comfort and craftsmanship, giving the chair an inviting yet considered feel.

Measuring 89 cm high, 50 cm wide and 52 cm deep, the LYON offers practical proportions for everyday dining while maintaining a visually lightweight presence. Its open-back design helps keep dining spaces feeling airy and uncluttered, whether used around a compact kitchen table or a larger formal dining arrangement.

Black Cross Back Dining Chair with Rattan Seat

The LYON Black Oak Wood & Rattan Dining Chair is designed to bring texture, contrast and timeless appeal to the dining room. For example, style it around a warm timber dining table for a relaxed modern rustic look, or pair it with a darker table for a more dramatic and refined setting. Its versatile design also works beautifully in kitchen dining spaces, breakfast areas and relaxed open-plan interiors.

The black oak wood frame gives the chair a more contemporary edge while still retaining the classic charm of its traditional cross-back shape. Meanwhile, the woven rattan seat introduces natural texture and a lighter visual note, preventing the darker frame from feeling too heavy. Consequently, the chair feels balanced, elegant and easy to place within a wide range of interior schemes.

The curved backrest and open X-shaped support offer a familiar café-inspired silhouette, reimagined in a more refined finish. In addition, the softly tapered legs and curved support detailing beneath the seat add to the chair’s graceful appearance. These subtle shaping details give the chair a more crafted and elevated look.

Thanks to its combination of dark timber tones and natural rattan, the LYON works especially well with neutral walls, stone flooring, oak furniture and layered natural textures. It can also be used to introduce contrast in lighter interiors, helping ground the space without overwhelming it.

Whether used as part of a full dining set or as an occasional chair in a bedroom or hallway corner, the LYON offers a timeless seating option with a smart yet relaxed feel. Overall, it is a beautifully versatile chair that blends traditional influence with a more contemporary, high-contrast finish.
